Clearwater Transformational Trekking invites you to Seek the Sacred with us in the Himalayan Mountains of Uttarakhand, India with Fernweh Fair Travel. Next March, we'll spend 13-days exploring the Himalayan countryside, meeting its people, and immersing ourselves in their culture and traditions. We will be guests at Fernweh's eco-retreat and river farm stay. From here, we will venture into the depths of the Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary, trek to the highest Shiva temple in the world, the Tungnath temple at 12,073 feet elevation, and spend the night in forest cabins. On this journey we will begin our days with forest bathing and river meditations. We will end our days with reflection and fire councils, and in-between we’ll discover our own inner landscape by exploring the rich world and culture around us.

Fernweh Fair Travel was founded to support young widows and victims of domestic violence. Over nearly 20 years, they have grown to impact the lives of whole communities, families, and local artisans. Guests from all over the world come to their retreat nestled in the Himalayan Mountains to experience the rich history, deep spirituality, and authentic culture. No one returns home unchanged.

Our journey will begin in Rishikesh, India where we will meet up with the Fernweh team for tea at a boutique hotel overlooking the holy Ganga River. In the morning, we'll set out for the permaculture farm stay, our base for the next 9 days as we explore the wild spaces without to discover the sacred spaces within. Together, we will undertake the four-path journey of transformation. We will unravel the patterns hidden closest to our hearts by immersing ourselves in authentic Himalayan traditions and culture. We will walk with our Shadow through deep forests and high mountain peaks to the very edges of ourselves. And we will discover the possibility of new beginnings within ourselves as we encounter Joy in the lives of the people we meet.

We will close our time in Uttarakhand, India with ceremony and celebration, but our journey will be far from over. We will support each other on the 4th Path of the Journey of Transformation, the Hero's Return Home, with three virtual, monthly gatherings where we can reflect on our insights and experiences from the trip and encourage each other as we seek to live into the new possibilities we envisioned on our journey.
