Seek the Sacred Himalayan Journey

Seek the Sacred with us in the depths of the Himalayas

March 2025 (Dates TBD)

A pilgrimage is a journey to a sacred center. Often symbolized by a sacred place such as a mountain or a temple, the true destination is the sacred center within yourself that connects you to the whole world. Some dare say the universe. The outward journey is a metaphor for the inward pilgrimage, an answer to the call to change that is beckoning to you today.

On this journey we will travel without to seek the sacred within together in the Himalayan mountains of Uttarakhand, India with our friends at Fernweh Fair Travel.

Founded to support young widows and victims of domestic violence, Fernweh Fair Travel has grown to positively impact the lives of over 500 women, local entrepreneurs, artisans, and the environment. But their vision doesn't stop there. Fernweh is working to build a community development center and retreat where underprivileged women can be educated, trained with new skills, and empowered to steward the environment and participate in international fairs. Their work is rooted in community development and personal transformation. Guests from all over the world come to their boutique permaculture farm nestled in the Himalayan Mountains to experience the rich history, deep spirituality, and authentic culture. No one returns home unchanged.

Next March, we will explore the 4-Path Journey of Transformation amidst majestic Himalayan mountains and authentic Indian culture.

Once you have registered, we will schedule a one-on-one virtual call where we can discuss the details of the trip and the call to change that motivates you to join us. We'll walk through the concept of the 4-Path Journey of Transformation and begin preparing for our return home before we ever set foot on the path. During this call, I will be able to answer your questions and together we can set our expectations for the trip.

Our journey will begin at the Laxman Jhula Divine Resort & Spa in Rishikesh, India where we will gather together for tea and introductions. We'll stay the night in the resort and set off for the Himalayas in the morning, the beginning of the first path.

On this first path, we will begin to unravel the patterns hidden closest to our hearts by immersing ourselves in authentic Himalayan traditions and culture. We will lodge in a boutique farm stay on the edge of a wildlife sanctuary, peruse village markets, enjoy the cuisine, visit a local school, participate in traditional ceremonies, and so much more. Our days will begin with an invitation to Yoga and meditation and they will end with journaling and reflection during our evening Fire Councils.

The art of pilgrimage is to see ourselves reflected in the Other and begin to recognize the cultural patterns woven closest to our own hearts that are ready to change. We step into that change with our Shadow as guide.

The second path takes us to the edge of our comfort zones where we press faith up against fear and step into the unknown.

On this path, we will visit sacred sites, swim in a clear, clean Himalayan river, immerse ourselves in a wilderness sanctuary, climb behind the Atrimuni Fall and sit in the cave where the ancient Vedic sage, Atri Muni, used to meditate, and more. We will challenge ourselves with the trek to Tungnath temple, the highest Shiva temple in the world at 12,073 feet, and then we'll push even farther to stand atop Chandrashila Peak at 12,106 feet with 360-degree views of the mighty Himalayas.

The second path brings us to the end of what was and to the brink of what could be.

Our Seek the Sacred Himalayan Journey is a time intentionally set aside to listen to our hearts. We sit quietly amongst the trees to hear its voice. We stand atop the mountain to catch its vision. We break bread with a stranger to make friends with the sacred. This is the third path, the awakening to new possibilities of who we are becoming.

The temptation is to stay here on top of the mountain or in the garden, in this otherworldly place where everything seems possible. It can seem like this is why came and our impulse is to cling to this new thing we have discovered within us. But the point isn't merely to discover our own inner gift, it is to bring that gift home in service to our communities.

The fourth path is the Hero's Return Home and it's what makes our Seek the Sacred Journey a unique transformative experience. The fourth path takes us beyond the immersive Himalayan culture and the stunning views from the mountain tops. It takes us home where we offer our gift to our families and communities by actually living into the new possibilities we awoke to on the journey.

Back in the everyday world, separated from our travel companions, this path can be the hardest one to tread. Which is why we will support each other on this path with three virtual Fire Councils in the months that follow our return. We will be there to encourage each other and support each other as we seek to live into our new way of being.
