Snowshoe Hike at Musselshell Meadows @ Musselshell Meadows Pierce, Idaho
8:45 AM @ Orofino City Park to carpool
10:00 AM @ trailhead

Is the snow calling your name? Me, too! I’ve been wanting to see Musselshell Meadows in all her winter glory. Who’s with me?

According to our North Fork Rangers, we should be able to drive up to the intersection with Musselshell Meadows Rd and Rd 535. This is near the rock pit on Rd 100, and about a mile from the MSM Work Center. We have been asked not to block the intersection when we park here. Instead, use the intersection to turn around and then park along the side of Rd 535. This leaves the intersection open for trucks with trailers to turn around, too.

We’ll meet up at the intersection at 10:00 AM and do a 3.8-mile loop around the meadows using the groomed roads and trails. Best to dress in layers, bring your snowshoes and plenty of water. Bring a lunch, too, and we’ll find a spot with a view (hopefully) to grab a bite.

If you don’t want to get lost on a wintery back road behind Weippe, and want to save on parking at the intersection, we can meet up at the Orofino City Park and carpool there. We can meet up at the park at 8:45 AM. If we get on the road by 9:00 AM, we’ll make it to the trailhead by 10 AM. PLEASE RSVP IF YOU WANT TO CARPOOL.
