We’ll meet at the Lewiston Community Center at 8:00 am and carpool to the trailhead at Big Eddy boat launch, about an hour and 10-minute drive from Lewiston. This is a moderate in and out hike, with sidehill drop-offs that lead down to the reservoir. It is a trail of up and down hills, as we meander through the small streams that flow into the reservoir. There is also a small waterfall/stream we will cross along the way. Bring snacks for the hike, and we’ll eat lunch back at the park area where we began the hike. Carol M. will lead this hike.
Wear sturdy shoes or hiking boots. Some people find hiking poles are helpful. Always bring water, lunch, and sunscreen. We begin by gathering at a meeting point and carpooling from there. Please also be sure to bring some cash for the driver if you’re carpooling with someone else.
