Scott will lead the Waha (Eagle Creek) Road hike, which is around a 7 mile in and out a closed road. This is the one that we had to cancel in May, so it’s nice to be able to do it, as some of us haven’t been on it and were looking forward to it. Thanks Scott and Carol for being willing to lead it. We’ll meet at the Lewiston Community Center at 8am, and carpool from there. There are some nice views along the way, and we turn around at some old cabins. Plan to eat lunch along the trail. It is an old road bed with lots of smaller rocks, so hiking boots are recommended.
Wear sturdy shoes or hiking boots. Some people find hiking poles are helpful. Always bring water, lunch and sunscreen. We begin by gathering at a meeting point and carpooling from there. Please also be sure to bring some cash for the driver if you’re carpooling with someone else.
